Nothing here is medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice; nothing here diagnoses, treats, or replaces care from a qualified professional. If you have concerns about your mental or physical health, please consult one. Understanding the science is valuable — but it is not a substitute for personalised care.
Our evidence standards. Every factual claim we publish traces to published, peer-reviewed research, cited with its DOI so you can read the original studies yourself — taking our word for it rather defeats the purpose. The Ledger grades outcome evidence and mechanism evidence separately, because does it work? and do we understand why? are different questions, and we refuse to blur them. Where the evidence states no usable detail, we print nothing rather than something invented: blank beats wrong. Entries carry a “last reviewed” date, and when new evidence changes a grade, the grade changes — visibly. When we get something wrong, we say so on the page where we got it wrong.
How this site is funded. MoodMatters.Today is founder-funded. It carries no advertising and no sponsored content, and nothing we grade or publish is paid for by anyone with a stake in the verdict. A paid membership is planned for the future; if anything about our funding ever changes — membership, affiliate links, anything — this page will say so before it happens.
Who runs this. MoodMatters.Today is built and run by one person, with substantial help from AI tools — a solo, AI-assisted editorial and product system, not a newsroom. Every published claim, grade, and page is reviewed and approved by that one person before it appears, under the editorial rules above. Your data. The short version: we collect as little as possible, and the Stability Map’s answers are not stored. The binding documents — the Privacy Statement, Cookie Policy and Imprint — are linked in the footer of every page and govern in full.
